(August 18, 2016) —Bierbrier Development, a Lexington-based developer of service/convenience shopping centers in Eastern Massachusetts, has announced today that four urgent care tenants joined its tenant roster. The leasing of shopping center space by medical providers has become a growing trend in retail real estate, providing convenience and cost savings to customers in dense trade areas, such as served by the Bierbrier portfolio, complementing its wellness themed national and regional merchants.

Urgent care tenants now open in Bierbrier centers include Partners Urgent Care in 3,407 sf at Needham Street Village Shops, Newton, MA, Med Express Urgent Care in 4,802 sf at Walgreens Plaza, Haverhill, MA, and Doctors Express in 4,006 sf at Arlington Village Shops, Arlington, MA. Physician One Urgent Care, is now under construction in 2,533 sf at Wellington Circle Plaza, Medford, MA. And will open in fall, 2016.
